Kitchen Blinds Work Better Than Curtains

Kitchen windows are best covered by blinds and not curtains and unlike curtains, kitchen blinds suffer from almost no disadvantages.

In a kitchen, curtains would be subject to high levels of moisture and steam and curtain fabrics are not suited to such conditions, which is also why curtains are not recommended for bathrooms.  The best types of blinds would be vertical blinds made from a firm material that is impervious to moisture.

Better still would be aluminium Venetian blinds: light ingress can be finely controlled by varying the angle of the slats and the blind can be lifted completely.  They are easily wiped clean, so maintenance is a doddle too.
